Simon has
been a specialised auctioneer for 25 years. He obtained his Advanced
Real Estate certificate with distinction and is fully licensed and
accredited. With a background in the performing arts (vocal in
particular), he expanded his career by working for Turners Auctions,
specialising in trucks, plant machinery and motor vehicles. He has
conducted auctions “in rooms”, “on site” in warehouses, mines,
forests, properties and general sales.
As a full time auctioneer his skills are continually honed by
meeting the challenges of these different environments. Simon
continues in these roles and is the senior auctioneer for
Alliance Motor Auctions. An auctioneer who is calm and in
control, he is focused on achieving the very best for his clients.
Simon's client list includes but is not limited to Forests NSW, NSW
Rural Fire Service, Delta Electricity, RSPCA, Salvation Army as well
as
McGrath Estate
Agents, Raine and Horne,
Bonapart Consulting (Paris) and other agencies.
Simon Cotter is fully insured, and as a member of the Auctioneers
and Valuers Association of Australia, upholds the highest code of
conduct. He was recently appointed to the board of Directors of the
AVAA.. He has
appeared on shows such as Hot Auctions as well as radio 2UE and
2MBS.

A quick email to thankyou for
your fantastic work as auctioneer with the Live Auction at
the Teresa House Charity Ball on Saturday night. It was
perfect: you kept it quick, very funny and entertaining and
you managed to draw out the generosity of the crowd which
resulted in some incredibly generous bidding - always a good
outcome for a charity fund raiser! We were very pleased all
round and I know many people kept raving to me for the rest

I Just wanted
to briefly mention to you how impressed I was yet again with
our Auctioneer on Saturday at the above property. Simon was
a large part of the reason I was able to successfully
negotiate a sale at the property on the day!
Simon arrived early, spent some time with myself & my vendor
assessing the situation & the mood in the room & was great
at imparting his thoughts as to where to vendor bid the
property if needed etc. Also during the course of bidding
Simon was very calm & dignified. Rather than making a quick
exit Simon stuck around for a few minutes & explained to my
Vendor what would likely transpire over the next few
minutes, Which impressed my vendor greatly & freed me up to
continue intense negotiations with the remaining buyers &
ultimately execute an exchange of contracts.
